Sophomores (MS II) hold the rank of Cadet Corporal (C/CPL), but like the C/PVTs, they hold few leadership positions throughout the year. Juniors (MS III) hold the rank of Cadet Staff Sergeant (C/SSG) and are the first-level leaders for the freshmen and sophomores.

What age can Air Cadets fly?

The Air Cadets are open to young people from ages 13 to 18 (applications can be made between 12th and 17th birthday). In London, the Air Cadets are divided into four Wings which between them have over 90 squadrons and more than 4000 Air Cadets.

How often do you get to go flying? You can go at least once a year but as some cadets focus on other activities sometimes you can fly much more frequently, it’s fantastic!
