T-Levels are not considered sufficient preparation for any undergraduate degree courses at Cambridge and are therefore not accepted for entry. Do universities accept T Levels?
T Levels are a new award that are equivalent to three A Levels. They come with UCAS tariff points and can be used for entry to Higher Education courses. We’ll accept T Levels for entry onto our undergraduate degree courses (including our extended courses with a foundation year) and our Degree Apprenticeships.
Does Oxford university accept T Levels?

What levels does Cambridge accept?
Cambridge usually requires A*A*A for most sciences courses and A*AA for arts courses or 40–42 in the IB, including core points, with 776 at Higher Level. AAA is usually required at Advanced Higher grade, for students in Scotland.
Are T Levels worth it?
Your T Level will be worth UCAS points (a T Level Distinction* is worth the same as 3 A levels at A*) and will be recognised by universities and other education providers so you can choose to continue studying if you wish.

What are the disadvantages of T Levels?
As T-Levels are so new to the educational market, their other disadvantage is that they aren’t as tried and tested as other courses such as BTECs. A-Level and BTEC students have the ability to find either past exam papers or exemplar pieces of coursework to use as templates and inspiration for their essays.
WHAT A Levels do Oxbridge not like?
Like many Russell Group universities, Oxbridge tends to avoid the “soft subjects,” which include Media, Art and Design and General Studies. If more than one of your A Levels is in these subjects, it’s unlikely you’ll receive an interview, even if your grades are high.
Does Cambridge care about GCSEs?
Yes, your grades will need to really dazzle. GCSEs are seen as evidence of work ethic – and you need a really strong one of those to cope with studying at Oxford or Cambridge. Our guesstimate is that the average successful applicant has around eight 8/9 grade GCSEs under their belt.
Are T Levels better than A Levels?
T Levels are new qualifications that are highly technical, practical and designed with employers to help develop your skills and knowledge for specific jobs. They are level 3 qualifications, equivalent to 3 full A Levels and are aimed at students who would like to follow a specific practical career path.
Do you need 3 A * for Cambridge?
Our typical offers are based on students taking three A Levels together in Year 13, and most Cambridge applicants are studying three or four A Level subjects in Years 12 and 13. This is usually sufficient to show breadth of interests and ability to manage a range of differing academic tasks.
Does Cambridge accept a * a * b?

Are T Levels harder than BTEC?
Which is better? Both T-Levels and BTECs are equal in their levels and equal in what you learn. They are both equally valuable to employers and universities. The only difference is the industry placement and work experience you will gain within the practical side of the course.

Are T Level placements paid?
There is no legal requirement or expectation that T Level students will be paid. However, you can pay the student should you wish to, or support the student with their travel and subsistence costs. In the past, some employers have paid or offered free meals, travel costs or both to placement students.

Are T Levels hard?
T levels aren’t an easy option, and you’ll have to work hard. You’ll spend 80% of your time in the classroom learning theory and practical skills. Then, for the other 20% of your time (45 days minimum), you’ll put these skills into action on an industry placement with an employer.
