Is London Eye suitable for toddlers?

How old do you have to be to ride the London Eye?
The London Eye welcomes everyone from all age groups. We offer adult tickets for anyone aged 16 or over, child tickets for children between 4 to 15 years old. Children aged 3 or under can visit for free but it is essential to also have a valid ticket.
Is Tower of London suitable for 5 year old?
Does the Tower of London cater well for a range of ages? These historic buildings make for a great day out for adults as well as children, but they’re best suited to kids over 5 (ideally 8+) who can read and have an interest in history, royalty, battles and jewels.
Is London kid friendly?

Can pushchairs go London Eye?
Yes, customers can bring a pushchair/buggy with them onto one of the pods at the London Eye. It needs to be fully closed or folded before joining the boarding queue, remain closed throughout the experience including at the entrance/exit ramps, and should only be opened once out of the attraction.
Is riding the London Eye worth it?
We have been on it many times over the years and the London Eye views (on a clear day) are spectacular. Yes, it can be expensive, but there are often London Eye discounts (we will mention a few later in the post) and it really should be on your list of London things to do.
What age does a child need a tube ticket?
Children under the age of 11 travel free on London´s buses and trams, with or without an adult, at any time, and don’t need a ticket. Children under the age of 11 also travel free on London Underground, DLR (Docklands Light Railway), overground and TFL rail without a ticket if they’re accompanied by a paying adult.
Does the London Eye have seats?
Yes. There is a bench in the centre of the pod, however seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
Does a 5 year old need a tube ticket?
Children under five travel free with a fare-paying adult. If your child is under 11, they can travel free on: Buses and trams. Tube, DLR, London Overground, Elizabeth line and some National Rail services.
Can children go up the shard?
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that The View is situated at a height which may not be suitable to all children.
Can 5 year olds color in the lines?
It’s one of many developmental milestones children tend to reach between three to five years of age, but experts advise against explicitly asking children to color within the lines, which could make the activity feel tedious. If your preschooler is still scribbling, not to worry!

Do opticians see 3 year olds?
Speak to a GP or go to an opticians if you have any concerns about your child’s eyes or vision. The earlier a problem is picked up the better. Children can have an eyesight test at any age. They do not need to be able to read, or even speak.
How do they do an eye exam on a 3 year old?
Your child will likely be asked to cover one eye while they focus on something across the room and then close up. This helps the doctor check the alignment of your toddler’s eyes, or how well they work together. Additionally, part of the eye exam is spent examining the overall health of the child’s eyes.

Can you bring food on London Eye?
Bottled water is permitted onto the London Eye, however no hot food is allowed onto the London Eye. Alcohol is not permitted on the London Eye unless you are partaking in Champagne Experience, and are accompanied by one of our Champagne hosts.
How long does the queue for the London Eye take?
We ask guests to anticipate queues of around 45 minutes for Standard tickets, a queue time of around 20 minutes for Fast Track ticket holders. Please note, these timescales can increase during peak periods.
