What happens if you need the toilet on the London Eye?
We have Male, Female and Accessible toilet facilities available in London Eye Ticket Office. Baby Change facilities are also available. Please note there are no toilet facilities on-board the London Eye itself. Our team will be more than happy to direct you should you need help.
Can you just turn up at the London Eye?

The London Eye is one of London’s most popular attractions and at peak times queues are lengthy. If you just turn up on the day you will pay more for your ticket and how long you will have to wait will depend on when the next availability is and the ticket type you select.
How does the London Eye turn?
The rim of the London Eye is supported by tensioned steel cables and is not dissimilar to a giant spoked bicycle wheel. The 32 oval capsules are sealed and air-conditioned and are attached to the external circumference of the wheel and rotated by electric motors.
Can you go on the London Eye at night?
The London Eye is open from 10:00h to 20:30h in June, July and August. The rest of the year: 11:00h to 18:00h.

The early London Eye opening times from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM has a lot of crowds, so it’s best recommended to go right when the London Eye opens or just before it closes.
How early should I get to the London Eye?
We advise you arrive around 30 minutes before your Standard or Fast Track experience during off-peak periods. If you are visiting us during a peak period, we advise you allow more time, as the attraction will be busier.
How many people can fit in a car on the London Eye?
Each capsule has a capacity of 25 passengers and rests on motorized mounts that function in such a way that the capsule remains upright as the wheel turns. The wheel moves so slowly—two revolutions per hour—that it need not stop for boarding or disembarkation of passengers, except for those with disabilities.
Is London Eye glass Bottom?

Does the London Eye stop if windy?
Weather conditions and wind speeds are constantly monitored within our ride control area and therefore if there are high winds/severe weather conditions, we may make the decision to temporarily close the London Eye.
Can you sit down on the London Eye?
Yes. There is a bench in the centre of the pod, however seating is available on a first come first serve basis.
What do you wear to the London Eye?
We do not operate a dress code for visiting the London Eye, however we would recommend dressing accordingly for the weather.
Can you have a meal on the London Eye?
We do have some refreshments available to purchase from our gift shop located at the exit to the attraction. No food and drink will be available to purchase whilst on the London Eye.
Is riding the London Eye worth it?
We have been on it many times over the years and the London Eye views (on a clear day) are spectacular. Yes, it can be expensive, but there are often London Eye discounts (we will mention a few later in the post) and it really should be on your list of London things to do.

In 2009 the first stage of a £12.5 million capsule upgrade began. Each capsule was taken down and floated down the river to Tilbury Docks in Essex. On 2 June 2013 a passenger capsule was named the Coronation Capsule to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

Ideally, 4 days is enough time to visit the top 10 attractions and the famous landmarks of London. However, if you have 7 days to spare, then, you can easily cover the hidden gems, get out of Central London and go on a day trip.
Is 6 days in London too much?
With 6 days you can explore a lot of London and travel around a bit more. It’s a great amount of time to see the UK capital and beyond. I recommend starting with my 5 day London itinerary and adding a second day trip, taking an overnight trip somewhere in the UK, or spending more time discovering London.
