How long does the ago take?
It depends on what interests you and if you take one of the guided tours. I would say the minimum would be 2 hours, yet it would be very easy to spend 3+ hours there.
When did the AGO reopen?
The AGO is re-opening! On July 21, we will be welcoming you back with open arms (but from a safe physical distance, of course). Pending final confirmation from the Province and Toronto Public Health, the Gallery will safely open under the public health regulations of Step 3 of the Ontario Roadmap to Reopen.

Is AGO free under 25?
Admission includes Collections and Special Exhibitions. Anyone 25 years and under can enjoy free admission. Visitors 18 – 25 years must show valid ID to claim their pass. Enjoy unlimited visits all year.
Is the ROM free for students?
Full-time students attending a post-secondary institution (college or university) in Canada receive free General Admission every Tuesday. Students may check-in at the admissions desk on arrival at the museum and present their Student ID for admission.

Does the AGO have a dress code?
Coats: there is no dress code at the AGO, and coats are allowed in the galleries. However, to make your visit more comfortable, you can leave your coat at the coat check if you want. It costs $1.00 to leave your coat at the coat check.
