If you’re behind on your electricity or natural gas bill and face having your service disconnected, you may qualify for emergency financial help through the Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP). There are also customer service rules available that are specific to low-income households.
What is the LEAP program Ontario Works?
LEAP participants have access to child care before, during and after school to enable parents to prepare for exams, complete homework, and participate in parenting and earning activities and to provide for emergency parent relief.
Who is eligible for Ontario electricity rebate?
Most residential consumers, farms and many small businesses in Ontario will receive a reduction on their bill through the Ontario Electricity Rebate. You may also receive further reductions on your bill if you’re a customer of: Hydro One (low and medium density customers) Northern Ontario Wires.

Can Enbridge cut off your gas in winter?
If you have paid a security deposit, it will be applied to the amount you owe before your natural gas supply is disconnected. Natural gas utilities cannot disconnect residential customers for non-payment in the winter months, between November 15 and April 30.

How to apply for Leap Grant?
No separate application is required. If selected, you will receive an email notification and the award will appear on your Financing tab of My ASU. The maximum AZ LEAP award for the academic year is $2,500. However, the average amount awarded for the academic year is $1,000.
Are there any energy rebates in Ontario 2022?

No, this is a non-repayable discount to eligible households to help with energy bills from October. When the government originally announced the grant, they did say that the costs would be recouped over several years, however this has now been scrapped. You will not need to pay back the £400.

When can utilities be shut off in Ontario 2022?
