Do pharmacists have access to Netcare?
Any staff member can be registered but must be authorized for access by a custodian. The custodian must sign the IDSM User Registration Form. Custodians can authorize their own access. A Custodian can be a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician or Pharmacist.
Can I access Netcare from home?
Accessing Alberta Netcare from a facility in the community is considered remote access, either through Alberta Netcare Portal (ANP), or directly from your Real Time Integrated (RTI) medical records system.

But we only do that now and again, if we need to and they’re not your full medical records.

What is the difference between Netcare and Connect Care?
Will Connect Care replace Netcare? No. Alberta Netcare will continue to provide access to key patient health information. In fact, Netcare will be enhanced by additional provincially standardized information, sourced from Connect Care, such as emergency department summaries and in-hospital consultations.

What information can be viewed in Netcare?
The information includes: personal health number, first name, last name, birth date, gender, address, phone number and, when available, next of kin/emergency contact. Every individual who has received health services in Alberta, or has been assigned a PHN, will have a record.
