The best time to ride the London Eye is early in the morning, as soon as the attraction opens, i.e. in winter at 11 AM and in summer at 10 AM (ticket offices open 30 minutes earlier).

Each capsule has a capacity of 25 passengers and rests on motorized mounts that function in such a way that the capsule remains upright as the wheel turns. Can you ride the London Eye at night?
It’s especially nice to experience the nightfall, with the lights of the city, at the London Eye. To do this you should start the ride shortly after sunset (link with times below). Usually the queue times are not too long in the evening hours. The ride duration is around 30 minutes.
Are bags allowed in London Eye?
Bags and belongings will be searched [and screened] before being allowed in. This is to ensure prohibited items are not brought into the London Eye. We also carry out enhanced searches where you will be asked to remove all items from your pocket and place them in the trays provided.
