Is Calgary Transit free downtown?
The downtown portion of the C-Train which travels along 7 Avenue is known as the free fare zone. It is free to ride either C-Train route between 3rd Street East and 11th Street West along 7 Avenue, but a fare must be purchased if traveling outside of the downtown area.
Is public transit free in Calgary?
The CTrain travels downtown along 7 Avenue between City Hall and West/Kerby Stations. This stretch of the CTrain system is our free fare zone. This means that you can hop on for free when traveling along 7 Avenue.
How much is a UPass Calgary?
$160/term
With a UPass, you have unlimited access to Calgary Transit during the period it’s valid. The UPass fee is charged per term and is included in tuition and fees for most full-time programs at SAIT. The UPass fee for the 2022/23 academic year is $160/term. Your pass is not transferable to another individual.
