Can you just turn up for punting in Cambridge?
Yes, you can just turn up for both shared and private tours, but you will pay higher prices as illustrated on the ‘shared tour tickets’ and ‘private tour tickets’ pages of the website. The website prices are heavily discounted and you are guaranteed a specific time if you book a private boat in advance.
Do you tip punters in Cambridge?
There is no obligation to tip what-so-ever, however if you’ve enjoyed yourself it is common to tip. How difficult is it to go on a punting tour? If you can sit on the floor and get back up again (even with a bit of help) then you will be just fine.

Can dogs go punting?
Yes of course. We would recommend booking a private punting tour, so you and your best friend have more space to enjoy a round trip on the Cambridge river especially if your dog is on the larger size. However, there is also the option to bring your well behaved (small to medium sized) dog onboard a shared punting tour.
How much does it cost to punt in Cambridge?
How much does it cost to self-hire a punt in Cambridge? Self Hire punt prices range from £20 to £30 per hour. Self-hire punt boats are available from Scudamore’s, Cambridge Chauffeur Punts, Granta moorings, and Trinity College punts. Self-hire is not available with Scholars Punting Cambridge at the moment.
Can dogs go on park and ride Oxford?
Any animal which is permitted to travel on our bus is at your risk. We make no charge for the carriage of dogs and small animals although we do ask you respect the above rules at all times.

What do you wear to punting?

- If it’s raining, bring waterproofs.
- Wear layers if the weather is unpredictable.
- Wear suntan lotion and sunglasses in the summer.
- Ask us for a life jacket if you’d like one, but they’re not compulsory.
- Wear rubber soled shoes with good grip.
Can you go punting alone?
Punting is also a great activity to do as a couple, solo traveller or group.
Is punting free in Cambridge?
PRICES: £20/hr public. £14/hr Cambridge University members with a valid ID card. £10/hr old college members (confirmation of identity needed from the Porters Lodge, or with a punt scheme card, which is available upon request).
Is punting worth it?
The traditional assumption is that punting reduces your opponent’s chance to score. But in reality you only reduce your opponent’s chance a little bit, and you reduce your own chances to 0%. Statistically, it’s not worth it.

Can dogs go in Grand Arcade Cambridge?
Grand Arcade is a pet free Centre. Please do not bring your dog to the centre as we only permit assistance dogs access.
Is the Arc de Triomphe dog friendly?
The Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe accommodate service dogs, but strictly ban other dogs. Dogs are not allowed in the Montparnasse Cemetery.
Is Harry Potter World dog friendly?

We do not allow other dogs or pets to enter the attraction and they cannot be left in vehicles for safety reasons. The nature of the attraction means that visitors cannot return to the car park until the end of their visit.
