Can you park at Cambridge University library?
There is a car park for readers in front of the Library and another smaller car park on the left as you drive into the main car park. There are four dedicated parking spaces for disabled readers directly opposite the front entrance of the Library, and a further two dedicated spaces in the smaller car park.

Can you just walk around Cambridge University?
You are very very limited in where you can walk to even see the exteriors and can’t go in to any of the buildings and most don’t let you even walk around outside in the courtyard. While the University itself was disappointing, Cambridge is still worth a visit. Loved the punt tour and the pubs are awesome.

Everyone is welcome to use our collections in our reading room. In order to best get our collections ready for your use, research appointments are required.
Is parking free in Cambridge today?
Every Sunday parking is free in metered spaces and in neighborhoods that typically require residential permits. If you’re lucky enough to find a broken meter, the city allows you to park for free up until the stated time limit (so you’ll get 2 hours of free parking at a 2 hour meter).

Can you just go and sit in the British Library?
In London you can use our St Pancras Reading Rooms and public desks and visit all our galleries, including the free Treasures Gallery. We’ve also got events, courses, activities for schools, our Business and IP Centre, and if you’re a British Library Member, you can visit our Members’ Room.

Is Cambridge open to the public?
It also has a historic sun dial and some of the oldest courts in Cambridge. It is only £5 to look around this College and much of it is open to the public.
Why can’t you walk on the grass at Cambridge?
So, if you are in Cambridge, the only three reasons that you can walk on some college grass is if a) you are a Fellow, b) you are talking to a Fellow, and c) if you are a duck. But this brings up one point. The grass in Cambridge colleges look pretty nice, and they need to be serviced.
