What level is Cambridge First Certificate?

Valid scores on the FCE Exam range from 140 to 190. A score of 160 or above is considered a “pass” and students with that score will receive the Cambridge First Certificate, which corresponds to a level B2 in English on the CEFR.

Is C1 the best English level?

What is better B2 or C1?
The B2 is the better choice if you need something to use in a well-lit room because it gets brighter in SDR. However, their HDR brightness is similar, and the C1 has better gradient handling, so if you watch HDR content, it’s better to go for the C1.
Does Cambridge C1 expire?
Unlike the TOEFL and IELTS exams which are only valid for 2 years, the Cambridge exams (FCE & CAE) are valid FOR LIFE!
How hard is Cambridge C1?
With Cambridge C1 Advanced this is definitely not the case. I have seen a lot of students who, after speaking to me, didn’t take my advice and ended up unhappy with their results. To pass you almost have to be too good for the level. The exam is exhausting, difficult and really tests your English level.
Is Level 3 the same as GCSE?
Level 1 qualifications are equivalent to GCSE grade D-G level. Level 2 qualifications are equivalent to GCSE grade A*-C level. Level 3 qualifications are equivalent to an A Level. Level 4 qualifications are equivalent to a BTEC Professional Diploma level.
Is Level 2 or 3 A level?
Qualifications at the same level sometimes cover different amounts of the same subject. AS levels and A levels are both level 3, but you study AS levels over 1 year and A levels over 2 years. So you learn more about the subject at A level.
