Can my PR card be mailed outside Canada?
No. We do not mail PR cards outside of Canada. If you need to return to Canada and your PR card has expired or been lost or stolen, you will need to apply for a permanent resident travel document. It is only valid for one re-entry.
Can I renew my PR card while outside Canada?
You can only renew your card in Canada. We don’t send PR cards to non-Canadian addresses and we don’t allow third parties to get them for you. If you’re outside Canada and don’t have a valid PR card, you need a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to return to Canada.
Can I courier Canada PR card to India?

Is it illegal to courier PR card?

Can my friend mail my PR card?

Can I leave Canada before my PR card arrives?
If your new PR card isn’t ready before you leave, you can still travel but you need a permanent resident travel document (PRTD) to return to Canada by commercial vehicle. You can only apply for a PRTD from outside Canada.
Can you come back to Canada with expired PR card?

No, it is absolutely NOT illegal to post or courier a PR card to the intended recipient.
How do you maintain Canadian PR outside Canada?
Your time outside of Canada may count toward your permanent resident status if you meet 1 of these conditions:

How long does Canada Post take to deliver PR card?
How long will I have to wait before I receive my PR Card? Generally, it takes about 45 days to process PR cards for new permanent residents once IRCC receives a complete application package from individuals who have fulfilled their residency requirements. Applications for renewed PR Cards generally take 104 days.
How long till PR card arrives?

Should I keep my PR card in my wallet?

Can you rush a PR card?
Yes, you will have to prove that you need urgent processing when you submit your application. Find out if you are eligible for urgent processing before you submit your request. If you don’t qualify, we will process your application normally.
Can you be deported if your permanent resident card expires?
Can you be deported because of an expired green card? You can only be deported from the U.S. if your lawful permanent residency status is no longer valid. Since your lawful permanent resident status is not linked to your green card’s validity, you won’t be deported simply because your green card has expired.
