What is My Service Canada used for?
My Service Canada Account ( MSCA ) is a secure online portal. It allows you to view and update your information for Employment Insurance ( EI ), Canada Pension Plan ( CPP ), Canada Pension Plan disability and Old Age Security ( OAS ).
Is Service Canada same as CRA?

Does Service Canada call you?
1 800 O-Canada is a general information service and does not usually make unsolicited attempts to contact Canadians. Service Canada and 1 800 O-Canada only send information you have requested and only send notifications through services to which you have signed up.
Can Service Canada access your bank account?
No. The information you enter (e.g. username, password) and the identity of the financial institution are not shared with the Government of Canada. Similarly, none of your personal tax information will be shared with your financial institution. No personally identifying information or banking details are ever shared.
Why would I get a letter from Service Canada?

Do I need a Service Canada account if I have a CRA account?
If you are registered for CRA’s My Account you can securely access ESDC’s My Service Canada Account without having to login or revalidate your identity. The link will take you directly to your My Service Canada Account within a single secure session, without having to sign in or register with MSCA.
How do I know if I owe Service Canada?
On a monthly basis, you will receive a statement of account from Service Canada indicating the amount that you owe, including principal and interest (where applicable) as well as any payments or adjustments made during the previous month.
Can I get my t4 from Service Canada?
Getting your T4E
Your T4E is available as early as February 1 through My Service Canada Account (MSCA). You can view, print and submit a copy of it with your Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) tax return. To access your T4E online, you need to log in or register for MSCA. You can also get your T4E by mail.

How do I stop fake Service Canada calls?
File a complaint. You can report unwanted telemarketing calls at National DNCL or call 1-866-580-DNCL (3625). Contact law enforcement. If you think the call might be part of a fraud scheme, contact law enforcement authorities or the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (formerly PhoneBusters) or call 1-888-495-8501.

How long does Service Canada take?
