Can I use my 407 transponder in someone else’s car?
We encourage all our customers to not share transponders between vehicles. In order to avoid additional charges to your account, we recommend that you lease a separate transponder for each vehicle that you plan to use on 407 ETR.

Can you use the same transponder for a different car?
Yes, you may transfer a transponder between vehicles as long as they are of the same vehicle class. There are penalties for using a transponder in a different vehicle class (i.e. Car transponder in a tractor- trailer.)
