How much is ice skating in the UK?
Open daily from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Ice skating sessions take place on the hour, every hour from 10:00am to 9:00pm. Each session lasts for 45 minutes.

Does London have ice skating?
London’s only all year-round ice rink. Whether you are a pro or just playin’ – you’re welcome at QUEENS. As part of our Covid re-opening protocols, we have made some changes to the rules of the rink to give you the best possible environment to keep cool. Advance booking is now more essential than ever!
How long do ice skating sessions last?
Each ice skating session will last 50 minutes. Make sure you arrive 20 minutes before your booked session to have time to get your skates on at the skate hire.
Can you wear jeans to go skating?
Jeans are generally a little too stiff and will hamper your movements. Short or tight dresses or skirts should also be avoided as they are too restrictive. Whatever you wear, you’ll need to be able to freely bend your knees. Of course, you also don’t want to wear clothing so loose that it can get caught in your skates.
Is ice skating an expensive sport?
Coaching fees, travel expenses, and physical therapy and athletic conditioning to keep the body operating at elite levels add up. But figure skating is among the priciest, with costs running more than $35,000 a year and as much as $50,000 annually by some estimates.
Can beginners do ice skating?
If you’re a beginner it’s best to take your time and not expect too much from yourself straight away when you first step on the ice. Start by holding on to the side barrier and taking short, marching steps. This will help your balance and help you get used to the feeling of the ice beneath your skates.
What should you wear to go ice skating?
Appropriate attire and a few other items will make for a smooth day gliding on the ice.

Can you skate in Hyde Park?
Skaters may use park roads that are open to other vehicles, unless prohibited to do so. There are other areas of the parks where skating is permitted as follows: Hyde Park – on the roads including Serpentine Road and on permitted cycle routes.

Should I wear jeans or leggings for ice skating?
People make a mistake by wearing jeans to an ice rink. It isn’t impossible to skate while wearing jeans, but since falls are highly likely, you want something that will dry quickly. Also, you want something that will not constrict your legs, so you can move more easily. Leggings or sweatpants would be a good option.
What age is too late to start ice skating?
There is never an age that it is too late to begin figure skating, but to be able to learn to land double and triple jumps does take time. It may be too late to master those difficult jumps if a skater begins skating in puberty or later.
Do you wear socks while ice skating?
