Following the cancellation of the 2020 and 2021 events due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the withdrawal of support from Surrey County Council, the men’s race will not return in 2022, with the RideLondon festival including a 3 day elite women’s race (RideLondon Classique) instead.

Where does RideLondon 2023 start?
The 2023 event will once again take place in Essex. The exact route is yet to be announced. In 2022 the route set off from Victoria Embankment in central London and headed into Essex via the historic Epping Forest.
Is RideLondon hard?

Once you cross the Orbital you’ll ride through lovely villages like Epping and Fyfield on rolling roads. It’s never flat, but there are no major peaks or climbs.

The Route. This year riders will be taken around a brand new route from the streets of London to the beautiful scenery of Essex. As mentioned above, starting at Victoria Embankment, the route will take them to East London, then moving through Essex, and finally finishing at Tower Bridge.

In total there will be 65 miles of Essex roads included in the event routes. The route will start in central London, enter Essex via Epping Forest and pass through Chipping Ongar and picturesque villages such as Fyfield and Leaden Roding before reaching Great Dunmow.

How many entries are there in RideLondon 2022?
The first 10,000 places in the RideLondon-Essex 100 will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to everyone, whether they live in or outside of the UK. Once these entries are sold out, the remaining places will be available via a ballot, which will close at 17:00 on Friday 28 October 2022.

What is the cut off time for RideLondon?
All riders in the RideLondon-Essex 30, 60 and 100 events have eight-and-a-half hours to complete their ride from the departure of the last start wave. We expect the final participants to finish at 18:00.
How long does it take to ride a bike 100 miles?
Unless the 100 miler you’re gunning for is pancake flat and you can easily cruise at 20+ mph (in which case you can adjust that max time downward), a rolling century will take you 6 ½ to 7 hours (using 15 mph as an average).
