How do I get metro tickets in Montreal?
Tickets may be purchased from ticket booth attendants or from vending machines in metro stations. If you pay cash aboard a bus, you will be given a ticket. When your ticket is validated, the date and time are stamped on the back, and you have 120 minutes to complete your trip.

Can I use my phone as a card machine?
Tap on Phone turns your smartphone or tablet into a contactless payments terminal using the device’s NFC antenna. Customers simply need to tap their card or Google or Apple Pay-enabled device against your phone to make a payment.
How do I use my TAP card on my phone?
- In the TAP app, sign in or create a TAP account.
- In the Cards section, press (“add card” icon) in the top left.
- Press “Add a TAP Card on Your Phone.”
- Follow the prompts to add Stored Value or a pass to your card and complete payment.
Is it cheaper to buy a ticket or use contactless?
You can add money to an Oyster card or use contactless (card or device) straight away. You only pay for the journeys you make and it’s cheaper than buying a paper single or return ticket (train companies may offer special deals on some journeys).
Is it cheaper to buy a Travelcard or use contactless?
As a general rule a Travelcard is more expensive than an Oyster card or Contactless payment card. The exception is if you make 3 or more journeys for 6 days or more within a 7 day period. In this case a 7 day Travelcard works out cheaper than an Oyster or Contactless payment card.

OPUS supports a broader range of sampling rates, including 8, 12, 16, 24, and 48. While MP3’s supported sampling rate range starts from 32 when using MPEG-1 and 16 with MPEG-2. Bitrate: OPUS can generate an audio file in less than half of the bit rate compared to the same file in MP3 file format.
