How do you get into Ontario Place?
We have 3 public entrances: West Entrance (West Island/ Cinesphere): located at Ontario Drive & Lake Shore Boulevard West – pedestrian access only. Centre Entrance (Budweiser Stage / Echo Beach): located at Remembrance Drive & Lake Shore Boulevard West.
Why is Ontario Place closed?
It opened on May 22, 1971, and operated as a theme park centered around Ontario themes and family attractions until 2012 when the Government of Ontario announced that it would close for redevelopment. It has since reopened as a park without admission but without several of the old attractions.
What is happening to Ontario Place?
The west island will house the water park with a retractable roof and a massive indoor spa is expected to undergo construction in 2024 to 2025. The reopened venue is expected to boost the city’s economy, and is projected to welcome five million visitors per year in addition to creating 3,600 new jobs.
Can you park at Ontario Place for CNE?
Ontario Place has public parking available in Lots P1 and P2 (see map below for reference). Entrances to the parking lots can be accessed from Remembrance Drive and Ontario Place Boulevard. Rates: $15 flat rate until 11:59pm.

It is suggested you arrive early when planning your visit. To access Lot 850 (underground parking inside the Enercare Centre), please enter grounds from the east side via Strachan Avenue to Canada Boulevard. To access Lot 852 (south end of grounds), enter CNE grounds at Ontario Drive.
How much is parking at the Ontario Convention Center?
The Ontario Convention has 1,336 spaces that may be utilized for event parking. There are 24 disabled parking spaces throughout our parking lots. Parking for all cars and motorcycles is at the rate of $10.00, limo/truck and trailer is at $20.00 and RV parking is $50.00.
