With respect to the effects of exposure to second hand smoke and in accordance with the Smoke Free Ontario Act (SFOA), the Toronto Zoo restricts smoking to designated smoking areas only. There are six designated smoking areas on Toronto Zoo property for our guests and fourteen staff smoking areas.

Just like drinking and driving, if you are caught in a state of public intoxication you will also be fined and detained until sober.

What can I not bring to the Zoo?
For the safety of other Zoo guests and our animals, glass containers, weapons, alcohol, bikes, skates and skateboards, rollerblades, radios/CD players, whistles, and inflatable objects are not allowed on Zoo grounds.

Is 4 hours enough for Toronto Zoo?
