Can you spend the night on Toronto Island?
Camp Wavelength is the only time you can legally camp overnight on Toronto Island – unless you’re a member of the Girl Guides and Boy Scouts of Canada, in which case you can apply for a permit to camp over on rustic Snake Island. Otherwise, you gotta beg your lucky friends with Island homes for a place to crash.
Are cars allowed on Toronto Island?
What makes us unique is that our community has no cars or stores. No form of motorized transportation is allowed on the Island other than garbage and service vehicles, a school bus and a snowplow. We walk and ride bikes everywhere.
Are bikes allowed on Toronto Island ferry?

Only bicycles or pedal-assisted bicycles (pedelecs only) with a wheel diameter of 26″ or larger are allowed on the ferries to the Toronto Islands. There are no fees to bring your bicycle on a ferry boat.

Can you buy a house on Toronto Islands?
Prospective homebuyers with the dream of living on the Toronto Islands can now put their names down on the Purchasers’ List. It’s the only way to have a chance of owning property on the Islands, as homes here are sold through a regulated system per legislation introduced in 1993.

The average wait time between ferries ranges between half an hour and an hour. Sailing toward the island, you’ll get a great view of Toronto’s full skyline. The average trip time takes around 15 minutes one direction, giving you ample time to enjoy the majestic view of the lake.
Can you swim in Toronto Island?
Each beach is great for swimming, tanning, or relaxing. All Toronto Islands beaches are free to access (aside from the cost to use the ferry). Three of the four (all except Hanlan’s Point) have received the prestigious Blue Flag designation, indicating top water quality, safety, and access.

This is a tricky question because the rules surrounding this will vary from campground to campground. There are many that welcome car campers with open arms but others that do not permit it at all. Some campsites will rent you a pitch and this will include a space to park your car for the duration of your stay.
