Harbour seals are the most common marine mammal in our local area. We observe them on over 95% of our tours! Although they can spend several weeks at sea, we often observe them hauled out on rocky shorelines where they can rest, sunbathe, and scan for predators.
Where can I see seals in Vancouver?
Seals. Probably the most likely animal you’ll find whilst wildlife spotting, seals often gather near fishing areas (for obvious reasons!). These areas include Stanley Park’s Seawall, as well as Granville Island in the centre of the city and just off of False Creek.
