Can you walk around Windsor Castle grounds for free?
You have to pay to even get inside the castle grounds,you can only walk around part of the castle from the outside.

Is entry to Windsor Great Park free?
The Great Park is free to enter and is open all year for pedestrians from dawn until dusk with the exception of the Deer Park which is open from 7.30am.

How much time do you need at Windsor Castle?
There is a lot to see and do at Windsor Castle, so please allow enough time to make the most of your visit. We suggest between 1½ and 2 hours. The Admission Centre is busiest from opening and throughout the morning. For the best experience please book your tickets in advance and arrive after midday.
Can I use Oyster card to Windsor Castle?
Windsor is located outside of the London fare zones, so make sure you have a valid train ticket that covers your whole journey as London Travelcards, Oyster cards and contactless aren’t valid.
Do you need a ticket for the Long Walk Windsor?
The Long Walk is free, and takes you through Windsor Great Park. If you are already in Windsor, you can easily access the park.
